Founded in 1952 as Alexander and Spencer the firm has a long proud history which has been built over time with strong client relationships.
In 2005 the firm shifted into new premises and with that change came a fresh new name AS Partners.

Sam RotbergSam has over 25 years experience as a Business and Taxation Adviser for small to medium sized businesses and also has a broad based knowledge of Self Managed Superannuation Funds and Estate Planning. He joined the firm in 1983 and became a director in 1991. Since then the practice has grown from a firm of 6 staff to now a firm with over 20 employees.As part of his personalised service to his clients he also helps them with their business requirements, including negotiating with varous lenders and other business associated professionals. He also enjoys the I.T. area of the practice and uses these skills to helps clients where necessary. AS Partners' clients benefit greatly from his knowledge and skill in this ever-changing field. There are many industries where Sam has developed his valued expertise, which include Medical, Para Medical, Real Estate, Building, Property Development and Travel as well as various other Service Industries. When Sam is not working long hours attending to his client's needs - you will find him indulging in his other interests of wine appreciation, eating at great restaurants, travelling, golf, fishing and sailing.

Jeffrey IsaacsJeffrey has almost 25 years experience in providing supportive, personal accountancy services and advice to small and medium sized businesses. He has been instrumental in the growth of the Practice from two partners and a handful of staff, to four partners, eight professional staff and four administrative staff who make up our team today.Jeffrey attends regular seminars and workshops to keep up to date with our never-ending Australian Taxation Law changes and ensures that his clients maximise their taxation benefits whilst complying with the requirements of the tax system. He has extensive knowledge of the tax system and has assisted many growing businesses to adopt the correct strategies to see them through each stage of their development. This year marks Jeffreys tenth anniversary at AS Partners. With his serene and down-to-earth demeanour, Jeffrey is a favourite around the office and immediately puts at ease his clients and fellow workers alike. He will always find time to lend an ear and never fails to ask his staff and clients about their weekend. Jeffreys children are the apple of his eye and are testament to his wonderful parenting skills. He is a keen tennis player and a passionate supporter of the Richmond Football Club. He will seize any opportunity to broaden his travel experiences and takes great pleasure in socialising with family and friends.

Leo Di BattistaAfter many years of invaluable service with AS Partners, Leo was appointed as a Director in August 2006. As well as having over 16 years of practical experience in providing Financial, Taxation and Business Advisory services to a diversified range of small to medium sized business clients, Leo has recently become involved in Human Resource Development and Recruitment.Due to his personal experience and family background in Primary Production, Leo has developed a great deal of expertise in agriculture, with particular knowledge of orchard growing and horticulture. He takes special interest in wine making using traditional techniques handed down by previous generations and his colleagues are only too happy to sample his produce. Having grown up in the wide open spaces of country Victoria, Leo enjoys the outdoors and all it has to offer, be it mountain bike riding, camping, fishing, surfing or 4x4 driving. Although Leo always takes time out to keep fit, he would happily spend his leisure time visiting Victorian wineries and enjoying fine dining with family and friends and starts most days with a strong Italian coffee from his local cafe.

Sevan TunaBachelor of Business (Accounting), CPAAfter starting as a graduate accountant with AS Partners in 1999, Sevan has gained over 10 years experience as a business and taxation adviser. We were delighted to welcome Sevan as our newest Partner in July 2009. Sevan advises clients from various industries and professions but his expertise lies in two very different areas; the jewellery manufacturing/retail trade and the restaurant/cafe business. While he enjoys assisting clients with the set up and upgrading of their computerised accounting systems, he revels in discussions of business and management accounting services such as cash flow forecasting, budgeting, cost analysis, break even analysis, income tax projections and business planning. When it comes to resolving difficult in-house technical accounting applications, Sevan is known as our "go to" person. He will quickly evaluate and determine each issue with his usual proficiency. He has mentored and trained many of our employees over the years and at present is a CPA Mentor to two staff members who are currently undertaking the CPA Program. When Sevan is not attending to his clients, his social activities include; dining out with family and friends; quality time spent with his lovely wife Linda and of course watching his beloved Hawks play on the weekends with a glass of beer in hand. He is also quite the "foodie" and will often organise a sumptuous barbeque lunch for the staff who greatly appreciate his diverse culinary talents and look forward to the next feast.
